| Jolene,
Hope you don't mind more pictures! Here are a few from a recent trip
we took to the White Mountains in eastern Arizona. We rented a cabin
and the first night we were there, we got 6 inches of fresh snow and
we had a blast!

| Jolene,
Just thought we would drop you a quick note with an update on the
kids. We just got back from the vet and got our rabies vaccinations
for the boys. At 17 months, Beignet weighs 98 pounds and Gumbo is now
up to 126 pounds! Our healthy and happy girl Mia is holding steady at
123 pounds. Everyone received a clean bill of health and are fat and
happy.

Here are some recent pics we thought you might appreciate and are
welcome to add them to the site

| Jolene,
Just a quick note to tell you that Ed and Mia made it out of TN and they're in Little Rock. They found a dog park, where Mia enjoyed running around and sniffing and crunching through the leaves for a while before they got back on the road. Ed is already in love with her. It sounds like they're getting along famously. It just feels like she was meant to be ours. I'm so excited for them to get home so I can meet her.

Ed was just blown away by your place - how beautiful it was and how amazing the dogs all were. Thank you so much for making the time for him to come by and pick up our girl. I hope to get out there some day to meet you and the gang myself.

Attached are a couple of pictures. The first one was this morning at the dog park in Arkansas. They look like they're having fun.
Next is Mia's little trouble maker Bobo after rolling and digging in the manure - he's a dirt bug, that one. Just loves to be in the mud, water and dirt. Needless to say, he also spends a lot of time in the bathtub.
Finally, is beautiful Benny, who has never taken a bad picture. He is so beautiful, it takes my breath away sometimes.

I know we've both said it to you before, but I just can't tell you how much joy these guys have brought to our lives. We recognize how lucky we are every day that they share our lives with us. I hope Mia enjoys our family too. Something tells me she'll fit right in.

I'll drop you a note to let you know they made it home ok.

Thanks again, Jolene - for everything!

| Jolene,
Just a quick note with an update for Benny & Gumbo, as
well as some pics from the last couple of months. They are now 7 1/2
months old and just recently graduated the intermediate level of puppy
training at PetSmart. This last week was a big week for us, as they
were both neutered. But don't tell them they had surgery! Benny
was ready and raring to play when we picked him up from the vet and
they are feeling just fine. Prior to the surgery, they weighed in and
for the first time, Gumbo weighed more than Benny. Gumbo came in
right at 82lbs and Benny was 81lbs!

Due to the hot weather, we're a bit more conservative in taking them
out, but we still go for plenty of car rides! When their heads aren't
hanging out the window (at 108 degrees no less!) they're laying down
in front of the car's air conditioner, napping.

At the end of May when things started heating up here in Phoenix, we
took a road trip to the White Mountains in Eastern Arizona and rented
a cabin for a long weekend in a community named Greer. Greer is at
about 8500' in elevation and when we got there, we were treated to a
snowstorm that left us with about 2' of fresh snow for the duration of
our stay! The boys were in their natural element!
As hot as the weather has been, sprinkler time is one of our favorite
games!

We can't tell you how much our little guys mean to us and how much we
love them! Hope everything is well with you and we'll make sure to
send more pictures as these guys continue to grow! Take care.

| Jolene,
Greetings from Phoenix! Sorry we haven't written recently, but we've
had our hands full with these 2 malamutes you shipped us!
When the sprinklers come on
every morning at 11 a.m., it's playtime! Beignet enjoys running
through the sprinklers and getting as wet as possible. Gumbo on the
other hand, prefers to wait for the sprinklers to go off and then
simply roll around in the wet grass, as seen here. But alas, all this
playing makes the boys quite tired and by the end of the day, Beignet
likes to hop up on the chair, rest his chin on the arm of the chair
and take a nap.
Our little boys started to dig, so we discouraged them from digging
where they aren't supposed to and bought them a play pool and filled
it with about 400lbs of play sand. It was like Christmas in March!
Since they had received their 3rd round of shots and we got the go-
ahead from the vet, we took them to a Pet Expo a few weekends ago.
The Pet Expo was raising money for the fight against pet cancer and
one of the events they had to raise money was the "Lure for the
Cure". This was an obstacle course that had a stuffed ferret on a
line that would encourage the dogs to chase it around the course,
which had some twists and turns, a tire to jump through and a series
of 4 hurdles to jump. I wasn't sure how well they would do or if they
would even be interested in the course at only 13.5 weeks, but we
thought we would give it a shot. Beignet loved it and tore after the
lure immediately! He made it around the course in under 24 seconds
when other dogs, like full grown retrievers and greyhounds were doing
it in 8 seconds. We were rather impressed with our little puppy!
Next up was the fan favorite Gumbo. Gumbo showed a lot of interest in
the lure at first and scampered off after it until he hit a dead stop
at the tire! He wasn't quite sure what to do, but had a lot of fans
and spectators urging him on and as you can see, where it wasn't quite
a "leap" through the tire, he made it through! Some lackadaisical
trots over the hurdles and our little Gummy finished the course in
about 54 seconds. He received a rousing round of applause and many
congratulations from all!
